Whether you own or rent, it’s not always easy to configure a studio apartment to keep the bed out of sight. In this episode, a Manhattan studio apartment gets a makeover with an IKEA ceiling track system: panels, curtains and hanging art gives the illusion of a wall, creating a separate living room that’s easy to open up anytime. Here are some ideas that I used in the decoration of my home this year for Christmas. I hope you get inspired and I pray that you stay blessed and stay saucy!
i got bored and decided to find something for my ( growing) earring collection so i found an old curtain and what i used is 4 nails a hammer the curtain already had holes ( from the design) if the curtain is really thin the earrings should still be able to go through with ease ( even studs) but i just use my jewelry box for studs but i tested the studs on the curtain and it works !! i used 4 nails one on each side of the curtain top and bottom.i then added my earrings and the curtain is thin enough where i can still stick the earrings in once i fill up all of the holes

SKIP THE GAP IN THIS VIDEO: At minute 4:54 There’s a big blank gap accidentally left in, after the spoken explanation. If you want to watch me doing the work, you need to skip forward to minute 6:36. Sorry – I only noticed it after waiting ten hours for the huge 1.1 Gb file to upload. I might create another version later. At least this gets you going for now. And note – I don’t yet have any evidence that this system works. It ’should work’, but I haven’t measured or experienced it yet, I’m just assuming it’ll make my house a lot warmer in cold weather. Warning, I found that using a sheet of glass as the straight edge is risky – you can chip it with the knife, and you might cut yourself too. March 26 update: The ‘Ecowho’ website seems to suggest single glaze glass loses 240watts/sq metrr, but a double-glazed one loses only 25watts/sq metre. Seems tight curtains and a pelmet can roughly equal double-glazing. Either therefore might save about NZ/month of power, assuming the month has average 5 hours a day where temp is 10 degrees colder outside than the warmed inside. I’m now using white foam instead of blue, and full beading round windows rather than just small clamps – looks nicer. Regards, Bruce Thomson in New Zealand, bruce at nettel dot net dot nz
